It was nice to re-visit Xanadu after a year.

The cast (sister muses) was superb as ever. So comfy in roles and delivering.

Tony Roberts has eased into his Danny Maguire role and he is a blast to watch.

Patti Murin (filling in for Keri Butler) last SAT did an excellent job.

Mary Testa rocked it OUT!! great new lines

fun to see Whoopee Goldberg in the flesh.

the show remains a true gem. thanks

I have loved Xanadu for about 27 years. Just saw the Broadway show and thought it was AMAZING. So much fun! Does anyone know where I can get a Xanadu skating jacket like Sonny and Kira wear at the end of the show? Thanks!

This is a great story....My sister and I grew up knowing that Olivia Newton John was our father's"girlfriend". Of course, my father was happily married to our mother but, in turn,my sister and I became obsessed with the moving, Xanadu when we were little girls. We knew every word to the movie and could sing along with many of the songs. Because it was the 80's and technology wasn't that great, my father actually audio taped the movie (with the boom box held up to the tv). He did this so my sister and I could play with our barbies and pretend that they were the characters in the movie...great memories for us. Unfortunately my father passed away this past May 3rd tragically to a massive heart attack at age 57. Around the time after his death is when my family and I found out that Xanadu was on broadway. My sister and I are trying to get to New York with our mother to see your show. We know that if and when we do, it will definitely be an emotional day for us but one that we are looking so forward to. Thank you for being a part of something that is so important to us. Hopefully we will see you soon!

I saw Xanadu for the 4th time yesterday for my birthday. It was amazing as always and this was my first time sitting on stage which made it even better! I know most of the cast already so being up there with them was great. I can't wait to come back again.

Oh and by the way, Cheyenne Jackson is the sweetest guy alive.

I agree with Brad! Kate Loprest should come back to Chicago! I LOVED her in Wicked and want her back here. She is the perfect Kira! You want to sell out shows, cast Kate as Kira. She won't let you down! LIFE LONG FAN! I LOVE LOPREST!

Just heard that Xanadu is coming to Chicago and I can't wait!!! Not sure if casting has happened yet, but if not, they should TOTALLY cast KATE LOPREST as Kira. Not only is she a local girl but her performance as Glinda in Wicked 2 summers ago in Chicago was BRILLIANT!!

She would absolutely be awesome in the role of Kira... Who's with me on this?!!

Just wanted to wish the cast and crew of "Xanadu" best of luck and break legs at the Tonys next week! Although I have not yet seen the show, I fully intend to soon. I spent the morning viewing news/show clips and the show looks SO hysterical and awesome! Makes me miss the 80's badly. (YES, I said 'miss') I can't want to see the show.. break legs next Sunday! You have my vote. BTW, Kerry B.. you are completely FLAWLESS! Love you!

I'm going to be in NYC in June, and got a Stage ticket. I can't wait to see the show!

Is there anything special I should know/bring/wear for the stage seating? (I saw an earlier post mentioning a group in togas, but I'm not sure I could carry that look off... wink )

Hello fanadus! I'm coming to NYC (all the way from Europe) in August or October and after reading you fabulous comments and viewing your pics I really want to see XANADU! I would really appreciate it if you could clear few things up for me: will the show with its original cast still be playing in August/October ; how early do you have to come to get a ticket ; were those amazing photos with the cast taken before or after the show!
Thanks in advance! wink

The cast all come out in less than half an hour, unless they have something going on backstage, like friends visiting or an interview.

I've seen Xanadu twice so far...once in previews and once with on-stage seating, which was INCREDIBLE. I'm going again this Wednesday with my niece and nephews.

The show is absolutely fun and absolutely wonderful. 90 mniutes of bliss.

And the entire cast is always gracious to sign autographs at the stage door and they are the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Jackie Hoffman, whom I've been a huge fan of for years, graciously posed for this pic with me.

I saw the Saturday, April 12 matinee show with a group of 30 kids from my school's choir, and we were blown away! I got the cast recording the day it came out, and hearing it live by the original cast was phenomenonal. Cheyenne was....what can i say...beyond amazing, as well as Kerry. The show was so much fun. I mean, what musical do they sell glow sticks at, and encourage you to sway them in the air? And meeting the cast at the stage door made it that more better! smile

Cheyenne is stunning; oh my. Jackie and Mary were hysterical and the rest of the cast was great. Great casting job!!!

Having been raised outside NYC, I have been fortunate enough to have attended Broadway shows for over 30 years. Seeing Xanadu and meeting Cheyenne Jackson was one of my theatrical highlights! Ever seen a grown man squeal like a schoolgirl? Well, you would have if you had been there when this photo was taken after a performance in November 2007! Along with being incredibly handsome, Cheyenne was one of nicest guys around! I have seen Xanadu three times and plan to attend again...this time I want stage seating.

RUN do not walk to see this hilarious, witty treasure!

One of my favorite moments is when Thetis on Mt. Olympus screams, "Assassins, Assassins!"

This was the FAMOUS line uttered by Maggie Smith in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie". The connection is that Maggie Smith (yes, from "Harry Potter" fame) played Thetis in "Clash of the Titans".

I was so happy that my friend Norn Cutson did an illustration of my favorite show.. I have always been a fan of his broadway illustrations. His works on Broadway shows are just plain brilliant. He saw Xanadu and fell inlove with the show, unfortunately when he saw it.. Andre Ward was out...

Hello fellow Fanadus!

I will be in New York City just for Xanadu next week and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to inform me where the stage door at the Helen Hayes Theater is at? And is it best to meet the cast before or after the performance? Thank you so much in advance! I cannot wait, 6 days to go!!!!!!!!!!

The stage door is right next to the doors into the theatre, to the right as you face the theatre. The cast usually comes out after the night shows and signs autographs.
