I just got home from seeing Xanadu at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. As a longtime fan of the movie I was weary of the stage version. Well, I was worried for no reason! It was the most fun I've had at the theater in while. It was joyful and funny. I loved every note, every joke, every mirror ball.

Fantastic job writers, musicians, cast and crew. You made me a fanadu. Come back to Seattle anytime. Bye Xanadu! Hope to see you again soon. wink

Yeah, it seems that the Xanadu caps are all sold out; they were only produced for the Broadway version. They're not even being sold on kirsskateshop.com any more.

My sister, mother and I saw the Chicago production yesterday afternoon. It was amazing. Sonny and Kira stole the show. The ensamble cast was hysterical. Even though we received many dirty looks from some laime people in the audiance for dancing in our seats, we were in heaven. It was one of my all time favorite plays. Thank you for a great Sunday.

I have been inspired by Xanadu and am sure that I'm not the only one. I only saw the show twice and regret it but am hopeful that it will return to Broadway. In fact I'm planning to write the producers and BEG them to do just that. After seeing the show I felt like I could do anything and have started expressing my creativity that has always been housed in the back of my mind. I listen to the CD almost everyday and search the internet for more information. In plain words; Xanadu is my muse and I don't want it to end. I'm crushed that its gone. If any of you guys feel the way I do then perhaps you will express your feelings to the the "gods" for one more run.

Xanadu was one of the very few things that without exception made my uncle Robin (who raised my brothers and myself) happy since my brother Trev died in 2002. He flew to NY 7 (!) times to see us and to experience Xanadu and, except for one visit last November, we saw it either 2 or 3 times each time he visited NY. We will miss Cheyenne and Kerry and the rest of the crazy insane and beloved cast of Broadway's biggest surprise hit musical ever. Shame on those who bought the Helen Hayes....are they the reason X was ended early? It couldn't be those 75% ticket sales. We'll see you in Xanadu on national tour next year. OMG I just found out that Xanadu is closing on October 12. I am completely devastated because I was planning on going to NYC Nov.7-11th to see the show. My friends and I were gonna dress up like gods and goddesses and sit on stage and everything. Of course with my luck, the moment I want to go and see a wonderful show it closes before I get there. Story of my life.

I just heard the devastating news!

To the producers, the crew and Douglas Carter Beane... thank you for giving us the gift so grand that NOW we truly know what it is: XANADU ON BROADWAY! Thank you to the entire cast for delivering EVERY SINGLE TIME! And for your complete dedication. I've been to see the show 11 or 12 times (can't remember) and I have L'dMAO and just completely enjoyed myself each of those times.

Xanadu has been, at once, my addiction and my therapy. There will be other shows that I will visit, of course, but I already know they will not compare to Xanadu. Not in style and certainly not in Lpm (laughs per minute).

Ever since the first time I sat in the Helen Hayes theater and witnessed the splendor that is Cheyenne Jackson with his sparkling blue eyes, amazing vocal talents and let's not forget - those cut off shorts, the fabulously professional Kerry Butler, her comedic genius and again - amazing vocal talents, Mary Testa and Jackie Hoffman as the best and funniest duo to hit Broadway, Tony Roberts, Curtis Holbrook, Kenita Miller, Andre Ward, Patti Murin - I've been hooked. You never let me down.

I just can't express to you enough, how much enjoyment I have gotten from this show. You will be sorely missed on Broadway! Today is a very dark day...

It was nice to re-visit Xanadu after a year.

The cast (sister muses) was superb as ever. So comfy in roles and delivering.

Tony Roberts has eased into his Danny Maguire role and he is a blast to watch.

Patti Murin (filling in for Keri Butler) last SAT did an excellent job.

Mary Testa rocked it OUT!! great new lines

fun to see Whoopee Goldberg in the flesh.

the show remains a true gem. thanks

This is a great story....My sister and I grew up knowing that Olivia Newton John was our father's"girlfriend". Of course, my father was happily married to our mother but, in turn,my sister and I became obsessed with the moving, Xanadu when we were little girls. We knew every word to the movie and could sing along with many of the songs. Because it was the 80's and technology wasn't that great, my father actually audio taped the movie (with the boom box held up to the tv). He did this so my sister and I could play with our barbies and pretend that they were the characters in the movie...great memories for us. Unfortunately my father passed away this past May 3rd tragically to a massive heart attack at age 57. Around the time after his death is when my family and I found out that Xanadu was on broadway. My sister and I are trying to get to New York with our mother to see your show. We know that if and when we do, it will definitely be an emotional day for us but one that we are looking so forward to. Thank you for being a part of something that is so important to us. Hopefully we will see you soon!

Having been raised outside NYC, I have been fortunate enough to have attended Broadway shows for over 30 years. Seeing Xanadu and meeting Cheyenne Jackson was one of my theatrical highlights! Ever seen a grown man squeal like a schoolgirl? Well, you would have if you had been there when this photo was taken after a performance in November 2007! Along with being incredibly handsome, Cheyenne was one of nicest guys around! I have seen Xanadu three times and plan to attend again...this time I want stage seating.

One of my favorite moments is when Thetis on Mt. Olympus screams, "Assassins, Assassins!"

This was the FAMOUS line uttered by Maggie Smith in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie". The connection is that Maggie Smith (yes, from "Harry Potter" fame) played Thetis in "Clash of the Titans".
